Our Approach
Our Philosophy
At Intervention Help, our philosophy is grounded in a commitment to integrity. Led by Stacy Plaisance, a seasoned professional with two decades of experience in behavioral health and substance use counseling, our proven approach combines deep knowledge, compassionate engagement, and clinically sound practices to guide individuals and their families toward recovery and healing.
Our Foundation
Built on Trust and Knowledge
We understand that the journey to recovery begins with a single, often challenging step: the decision to seek help. That’s why our approach is designed to foster trust from the outset. By choosing to engage in the intervention process, individuals and their families are already taking a pivotal step toward change. Our role is to honor that trust with integrity, empathy, and respect.
Our interventions are not only about guiding individuals to recognize the need for change but also about offering clinically appropriate recommendations for treatment. We adhere to the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) criteria for determining the appropriate levels of care, ensuring that diagnoses and placement are evidence-based and tailored to the unique needs of each individual.
Meeting People Where They Are
Personalized Care and Engagement
At Intervention Help, we meet individuals where they are, understanding their current position on the map of life before plotting a course to recovery. Whether they prefer the directness of the highway or the introspection of the scenic route, our agenda is clear: to support a life that is healthy and sober forever. We recognize that recovery is a personal journey, and take time to understand what each individual wants for their life.
Stacy personally visits and vets various treatment programs to ensure they meet our high standards for care and effectiveness. This hands-on approach allows us to recommend options that are best suited to the individual’s needs and circumstances. We are also open to bringing other professionals into the care team as needed. This collaborative approach ensures that all aspects of an individual’s well-being are addressed, from medical and psychological needs to social and spiritual healing.

Why We Don’t Do Surprise Interventions
Stacy moved Intervention Help away from the surprise intervention to an invitational model built on rapport, transparency, and respect.
- 24 to 48 hours’ noticeYour loved one knows the conversation is coming, so they can collect their thoughts and bring ideas of their own.
- A different kind of conversationThe notice shows this isn’t another family argument. We want to hear their story and what they want for their life.
- A plan you shape togetherThe family brings treatment options. Then we listen, adjust, and let your loved one make their own decisions.
- No trust to rebuildBecause no one was ambushed, the team doesn’t have to win back trust before the real work begins.
